If we say Beaujolais, what’s your answer? Gamay, of course. THE favorite region of the Epicurieux team, but also their favorite grape variety. The Beaujolais region is almost entirely planted with Gamay (97%), and to our great delight, the diversity of its expression is immense. There are different styles of Gamay: some more classic, some juicier and fruitier, and some truly playful, “canaille” Gamays.
The playful Gamay is the one you share with friends, the one that calls for opening a second bottle. It’s the Gamay you enjoy with some charcuterie while admiring a summer (or winter) sunset – like a wine from Domaine Thillardon.
It should be 100% indulgent, with crunchy fruit, not too powerful, almost like an infusion. Simply the Gamay we love!
