The Wines of Pauline Maziou
The Story of Domaine Petite Nature
Located in the Ardèche region, Pauline Maziou cultivates a few hectares of vines nestled between hills and chestnut groves. The wild, preserved landscape is perfect for crafting natural wines. The vineyard is entirely hand-tended, with a strong focus on local biodiversity. No chemicals are used, allowing nature to reclaim its space. The clay-limestone soils bring freshness and balance, while cool nights allow for slow grape maturation. Manual harvesting and controlled yields guarantee optimal quality right from the start. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous, with no added sulfites or other inputs, allowing the grapes’ character to fully express itself.
The Wines of Petite Nature
The wines of Petite Nature stand out for their sincerity and drinkability. The Gamay offers light, fruity, and crunchy reds, perfect for sharing. The Cinsault, sourced from négociant work, results in more delicate wines with great freshness. The Syrah, grown on Pauline’s own plots, provides more structure and depth, but remains juicy, vibrant, and refreshing. Each cuvée is made without artifice, allowing for living, vibrant wines deeply rooted in their terroir. These unpretentious yet refined wines embody Pauline Maziou’s philosophy: simple, natural, and accessible wines to share without moderation.
