The wines of Pauline Maziou
The story of Petite Nature
Based in the Ardèche, Pauline Maziou farms a few hectares of vines nestled between hills and chestnut groves. The region’s wild, unspoilt landscape is perfect for making natural wine. The vines are worked by hand, with special attention to the surrounding biodiversity. No chemicals are used: nature takes back its rights. The clay-limestone soils bring freshness and balance, while cool nights allow slow ripening of the grapes. Hand harvesting and controlled yields ensure top quality from the very start. In the cellar, fermentations start spontaneously, with no added sulphur or any other additive, so the grapes can fully express their personality.
The cuvées of Petite Nature
Petite Nature wines stand out for their sincerity and their drinkability. The Gamay gives light, fruity, crunchy reds, perfect for convivial moments. The Cinsault, bought in, gives more delicate wines with lovely freshness. The Syrah, grown on her own plots, brings more structure and depth, while staying just as appetising, juicy and tangy. Each cuvée is made without artifice: living, vibrant wines deeply rooted in their terroir.
Don’t miss Love is in the air, a co-fermentation of Jacquère and Syrah created with her partner Corentin Houillon: Savoie and the Ardèche united in a single bottle.
We have also had the pleasure of offering Bonne Étoile, Chalouper, Danser sous la pluie, Tombée du ciel, Sorcières, Fly me to the moon and Monde nouveau.
Unpretentious yet very fine wines that capture Pauline Maziou’s philosophy: simple, natural, accessible wines, made for sharing.
