Bottle of “La Houssaie” 2024 - Domaine du Clos de l'Epinay

Off to Vouvray with Antoine and Henri of Clos de l'Epinay, who “work a lot and intervene little”. La Houssaie comes from 45-year-old Chenin vines planted on light clays over flint. Native yeasts, ageing in stainless steel tanks, unfined, unfiltered and with no added sulphites, to let the terroir speak. The result? A straight, chiselled dry Vouvray, driven by the tension of Chenin and that mouth-watering gunflint minerality… A living white just the way we like them!
