Domaine Vincent Pinard

Florent et Clément Pinard

In Bué, a few kilometres from Sancerre, brothers Florent and Clément Pinard craft some of the most precise wines of the Loire. A family story stretching back more than twenty generations, old sauvignon and pinot noir vines, hand harvesting and meticulous soil work: here, each cuvée tells the story of a plot before that of a grape. The estate farms its 17 hectares organically and biodynamically, with low-intervention winemaking where the grape remains the real star.

The wines of Domaine Vincent Pinard

The story of Domaine Vincent Pinard

The Pinard family has been growing vines in Bué since the 17th century. After Armand, Charles and then Vincent, it is now Florent and Clément who are writing the estate's next chapter. Their approach stays true to the spirit of the house: respect for living things, native yeasts, very little sulphur and a constant search for purity rather than power. The result? Sancerres that age beautifully and rank among the most sought-after bottles of the appellation, in white as well as red.

The cuvées of Domaine Vincent Pinard

Domaine Pinard became a Sancerre benchmark thanks to a simple idea: vinifying each terroir separately. The famous limestone caillottes bring tension and brightness to cuvées such as Florès, while the Kimmeridgian terres blanches give depth and length to the single-plot wines Chêne Marchand and Petit Chemarin. The reds are no afterthought: here pinot noir gains an almost Burgundian finesse, with precise ageing and deliberately low yields. Lively, elegant and, above all, wonderfully drinkable wines.
