The Domaine Ozil tells the story of two Ardèche brothers passionate about the vine and natural wine. Based in Lagorce, in the heart of the Ardèche Gorges, Thomas and Jean‑Daniel decided to take over and develop the family estate to produce wines that fully reflect their terroir. Their approach is based on organic and biodynamic viticulture, total respect for the grapes and the environment, and the desire to create Rhône Valley wines that are honest, lively, and approachable, designed to be shared easily with friends or family. Their estate spans diverse plots, exposed and suited to local grape varieties, in a typical Ardèche landscape of hills, forests, and garrigue.

The story of Domaine Ozil
Domaine Ozil was founded by Jean‑Daniel, who took over the family estate in the early 2000s. A few years later, his brother Thomas joined him to share the management and vision of the estate. Together, they decided to leave the cooperative cellar to develop their own production, focusing on authenticity, respect for the terroir and natural winemaking. Harvests are done by hand, vineyard work is carried out carefully to encourage biodiversity, and all winemaking steps are designed to let the grapes fully express their potential. The estate now spans about 16 hectares, dotted with olive trees and lavandin that enrich the landscape and contribute to the overall health of the vineyard.
The wines of Domaine Ozil
The wines of Domaine Ozil reflect the richness of the Ardèche terroir and the natural philosophy of the two brothers. Each plot is carefully worked and hand-harvested to obtain healthy, expressive grapes. Vinifications are carried out with minimal intervention, very few sulphites and no chemical inputs, allowing the fruit, soil and climate to fully express themselves. The wines are designed to be convivial, straightforward and easy to drink, perfect for simple meals, moments of sharing and enjoying a glass. This approach results in living wines that tell the story of the estate and Thomas and Jean‑Daniel's commitment to wine that respects living things.
