The wines of Domaine des 13 Lunes
The story of Domaine des 13 Lunes
Domaine des 13 Lunes sits on the southern flank of Mont Granier, an emblematic Savoie massif with spectacular cliffs and a unique geological history. It was born from Sylvain Liotard's wish to bring high-altitude mountain plots back to life, plots often considered too difficult to farm. Since 2017, Sylvain and Anne have taken over grassy vineyards and farm them biodynamically, keeping soils alive and the ecosystem balanced. Some plots have been worked for centuries, others had been abandoned and had to be patiently revived.
The name "13 Lunes" (13 moons) says it all about their bond with natural cycles: work timed by the moon, biodynamic preparations and constant attention to the exchanges between plants, wildlife and soil life. A human-scale estate where every vine is observed and cared for all year round.
Harvesting is entirely by hand, often early in the morning to preserve freshness. In the cellar, natural fermentations with native yeasts and minimal intervention: the grape expresses itself just as it is.
The cuvées of Domaine des 13 Lunes
The whites, from Jacquère and Altesse, stand out for their liveliness, minerality and elegance, while the reds, from Mondeuse, capture the energy of the slopes and Alpine freshness, giving light, delicate wines that are approachable young.
The range includes Jacquère from Apremont and Abymes, among them La Mise en Abymes, as well as Une Hirondelle, Ami-Amis, Le Cœur en Goguette, La Nuit nous appartient and the white Montre-moi la lune. For bubbles, there's 13 Bulles. Several cuvées also come in magnum.
The 13 Lunes signature? A subtle balance of freshness, minerality and fruit, for lively, digestible, honest wines. Everyday Savoie wines, perfect with a fondue, a raclette or simply with friends.
