The wines of Domaine de la Loue
The story of Domaine de la Loue
Domaine de la Loue is first of all a love story. In love with the Jura, Catherine Hannoun decided to settle there and create her own estate, near the valley of the Loue, the river that gave the project its name. The Jura is one of France's flagship natural wine regions, with its singular grapes and its marl and limestone terroirs. Catherine farms her vines organically and biodynamically, with deep respect for living things and for the history of her terroir. In the cellar, her wines are made without inputs, to keep the purity of the fruit and that freshness typical of Jura wines. You will find taut, saline whites and elegant, light, digestible reds. Authentic wines, made in small quantities, well worth stopping to discover.
The cuvées of Domaine de la Loue
Le Blanc is a chardonnay in a pure style, without inputs, where the grape's expression is focused on freshness, acidity and salinity. Depending on the vintage, it gains a little richness, making it easy to pair at the table: its citrus and lemony notes go very well with fish, chicken in cream sauce or Comté. La Brute is an elegant, fruity pinot noir, pure and digestible. The wine has tons of freshness and authenticity, and lovers of living wines will be delighted. Just bring out the charcuterie and open this little pinot for a great time. Two cuvées that sum up the estate's spirit: freshness, sincerity and the taste of the Jura.
