The wines of Château des Tours - Emmanuel Reynaud
The story of Château des Tours
The family estate of Albert Reynaud was founded in the 1880s in Sarrians, in the Vacqueyras appellation of the Rhône Valley. Albert, then a notary, turned to winemaking and bought Château Rayas. The first bottling took place in 1920 thanks to his son Louis, and they began selling their wines locally and nationally. Keen to discover other terroirs, Louis acquired Domaine des Tours in Sarrians and Château de Fonsalette in Orange, which he entrusted to his son Bernard. Jacques, Louis's youngest son, who cared deeply about the environment, focused on wine quality and balanced the soils through mixed farming. In 1997 the estate was taken over by Emmanuel Reynaud, nephew of Jacques Reynaud, who had built a cellar and developed the sale of the wines. Today Emmanuel owns all three estates: the famous Château Rayas, Château de Fonsalette and Château des Tours.
