Bottle of « Chardonnay » 2024 - Maison Altisolis

Originally from the village of Chignin in Savoie, Vincent Quénard dreamed of making wine from Burgundy grapes and appellations after his viticulture-oenology diploma in the region. For 3 years now that dream has come true with his négoce business Maison Altisolis: Vincent buys grapes from committed growers and makes the wine in a cellar north of Beaune, next to the Ladoix appellation. Juggling the family estate in Chignin, his Quardin brewery and his Likoriste distillery, Vincent never stops, and he shows off the Burgundy terroir perfectly. Here, Chardonnay with a short spell in barrel on the lees for a rich, indulgent texture without heaviness. The wine is rather made for the table, with fish or dishes in white sauce, but works just as well with a generous aperitif spread. Above all, you are sure to hit the mark around the table with this cuvée... It's only a « Chardonnay » labelled Vin de France, but it's already very serious stuff!
