Soil Therapy and natural wine

Formerly called Les Vins du Mardi because their adventure began on a Tuesday, Meardey and Thomas Larmoyer ultimately took a liking to it, like any exciting project. Soil Therapy is coming full-time into their lives, and that's not to displease us. You will discover wines from the soils, wines that are free and bursting with good humor .

Soil Therapy, therapy coming from the land

Thomas and Meardey are part of this new generation that wants to make things happen.
It is in 2020 that Thomas takes a new start, a new turn, and not just any day. A Tuesday. This is the beginning of Vins du Mardi, wines that reflect the renewal, which seek to discover soils and not grape varieties. Thomas Larmoyer launches Les Vins du Mardi from a garage, and enjoys discovering wines from friends, wines he likes, wines that have a story to tell. Local wines.
Meardey and Thomas did not start without experience, they first worked for some time in large wine estates in Alsace such as Ostertag and Kreydenweiss, before becoming merchants.
Thomas and Meardey are lovers of the soils of Alsace , which is why they make wines that highlight localities, plots, a true reflection of the soil. Unlike more traditional estates where only the grape variety is highlighted, such as Riesling, Gewurztraminer or Pinot Gris.
Soil Therapy by definition means the therapy coming from the land. Thomas Larmoyer defends the great unknown Alsatian soils, and clean and sustainable winemaking process. He likes to highlight blends of grape varieties.

Soil Therapy wines

For the moment, Thomas and Meardey do not have their own vines, they favor relationships of trust with talented winegrowers, they favor human encounters. The goal is to always highlight the work of these passionate winegrowers, winegrowers who respect the soil and the vine. The bottles are distinctive, original, always with great energy.
Have you ever tasted a Riesling capable of going through the years like the bottle E.10 - S.65 - Riesling VV 2020? Here is a blend of two localities, a limestone and a sandstone, but also an aging of 18 months on lees in barrels. This 100% Riesling is powerful and endowed with a nice tension.
The Osterputz #1 2020/21 bottle is unmissable! A multi-ethnic blend, two vintages, exceptional soils, for 1L of incredible natural white wine. Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Auxerrois, Pinot Noir… this blend is to be discovered.
Do you know Alsace sparkling wines? Holy Grey! 2020/21 is a natural sparkling Pinot Noir from the 2020 and 2021 vintage. A vinous, ideal to start with friends.
New soil, new grape variety for the Kastelweg - Sylvaner 2020 bottle. This 100% Sylvaner from Soil Therapy comes from a locality with marl-limestone soil, at the foot of the Hatschbourg and Goldert grands crus. A bottle with a lot of energy, tension, a beautiful expression of this mythical grape variety of Alsace.
Aromatic power, complexity, tension, everything is there in the Schiste - Riesling 2020 bottle. This 100% Riesling from a plot at altitude, on a slope, on schist soil, was macerated for two days before being pressed and then vinified in barrels. Be patient or decant it to fully appreciate its flavors.
Thomas Larmoyer likes to highlight the Alsace soil, but not only from one and the same grape variety as required by the Alsace appellation. To challenge this, he makes the L21A 2021 bottle, in vin de France, but where he writes Alsace in Braille on the label. A bottle where tension and freshness come together thanks to Pinot Gris, Riesling Auxerrois and Gewurztraminer (direct pressing, aged 8 months on the lees in vats).
Sparkling Natural Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris for this bottle La Découverte 2021. Touches of ripe fruit, flowers to mark the aroma, a little residual sugar, this is a beautiful bottle for the most gourmet.
Finally Thomas and Meardey produce the King Creator 2020 vintage. A blend of Pinot Gris, Auxerrois and Riesling, this is a very gourmet bottle, thanks to maceration for only one part.
Alsace wines to discover without hesitation to learn to identify the exception of these unique soils!
