Amós and Alex, two natural wine lovers
When two natural wine lovers meet, great projects follow. Els Vinyerons (“the winegrowers” in Catalan) was born from the friendship between Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz Masach, in the Penedès, in Catalonia.
Their shared goal: to highlight unique terroirs and native grapes (and more), with at least organic farming and above all natural winemaking, without artifice.
A different take on the Penedès
The Penedès is best known for its sparkling wines, but Amós and Alex offer another reading: authentic, easy-drinking Catalan wines with unrivalled drinkability. Xarel·lo, the region’s emblematic white grape, has pride of place alongside Grenache.
The cuvées of Els Vinyerons
Saltamartí gives Grenache a Beaujolais twist: fruit, gourmandise, low alcohol… a true wine for friends that surprises with its freshness.
We have also enjoyed offering Pregadéu, Lluerna and Pitavola (in magnum), living wines that tell the story of Amós and Alex’s Penedès.
