The story of Domaine des Vigneaux

Domaine des Vigneaux is a family estate in Valvignères, in the southern Ardèche, in a valley nicknamed the “valley of the vine”. The Comte family has grown vines here with passion for three generations; today, Hélène and Christophe Comte carry on the tradition.
The estate covers 13 hectares of clay-limestone soils, a demanding, rich terroir that gives the wines a strong identity. It has been certified organic since 2001 and farmed biodynamically since 2009: lunar cycles, biodiversity, moderate soil work, organic matter and plant-based preparations. Harvesting is done by hand, for a rigorous selection of bunches.

The cuvées of Domaine des Vigneaux

The wines of Domaine des Vigneaux highlight the richness of Ardèche grapes: Grenache, Syrah and Pinot Noir for the reds, Chardonnay and Viognier for the whites. Every cuvée is made without additives, with spontaneous fermentations and ageing in tank or barrel.
Margaux is a lightly macerated Ardèche Chardonnay, with a little tannic structure and lovely bitterness. Available in magnum.
Rivales breaks the Viognier mould: forget the rich, aromatic side, here it is all liveliness and freshness.
The 5-litre Fontaine à vin brings together several grapes for a ripe, sunny wine with incredible freshness: perfect for big tables.
We have also enjoyed offering Complice, Miss Terre and Terre Natale. Fresh, bright Ardèche natural wines!
