The story of Celler Credo
Celler Credo is the project of the Mata Casanovas family, in the Penedès, in the heart of Catalonia. A region best known for its sparkling wines, but which also holds great still wines, if you know how to reveal them. That is the whole point of Celler Credo: making authentic, 100% natural wines from the Penedès's historic grapes, and xarel·lo in particular. If we had to name one estate that magnifies this grape like no other, we would name Celler Credo without hesitation. The estate's approach rests on a real understanding of the terroirs, the vines and the wildlife around them, with the aim of respecting them as fully as possible, from vine to bottle. In the cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum. The result: exceptional Spanish whites, fresh, precise and luminous, showing just how great a grape xarel·lo can be.
The cuvées of Celler Credo
And the winner is… lives up to its name: it is the all-round glass of white that wins everyone over every time. It blends the great white grapes of the Penedès, xarel·lo, macabeu and parellada, for a wine at once fruity and light, fresh and gourmand. An approachable white, without being simplistic, showing all the estate's know-how in a pleasure format. It is the ideal companion for a Spanish-style aperitif: prepare your best tapas, some anchovies, pimientos de padrón or a tortilla, and the winning combo is guaranteed. It also goes very well with seafood, grilled fish or Mediterranean cooking. A great gateway to discover the natural whites of Catalonia.
